HOW IT STARTED
Alabama farm girl, and Auburn University Art & Journalism graduate landed me an internship and almost a decade of work at Southern Living Magazine as an interiors stylist. It was where I learned editing, corporate organization, best business practices, marketing, thoughtful design, storytelling and creative collaboration.
SOUL SEARCHING
A cross country move from Birmingham to Seattle landed me in West Coast set design, advertising campaigns, and monthly commutes to San Francisco for Pottery Barn, RH, and Coastal Living, Better Homes & Gardens, Eddie Bauer Home and an adventure around every turn in a creative paradise. I took my first yoga class, and was being prepared for a transition from designing interiors & sets to designing wellness studios.
CROSS COUNTRY STRETCH
Florida-born hubby decided to take us back to the beach after 10 years in the PNW, babies in tow.
Big Fish Power Yoga was born.
Baron Baptiste became my boss. Working in Mexico, Canada, and coast to coast on sold-out yoga conferences, leading teams, writing copy, training facilitators, teaching the NFL. In 2019, my first book, The Transformative Power of Language, was published and became an Amazon best-seller. It was a decade of sweat, soulful sharing & serving and my debut on the cover on Yoga Journal.
FAST-FORWARD
Business loss. Brutal betrayal. Beautiful breakthrough.
Big Fish Coaching for Creative Women has served more than 1500 women in 16 programs and 1-1 coaching and business intensives since 2020. entreYOU is born out of refinement, my second book on the horizon, and the launch of creator’s cottages for women entrepreneurs in Alabama. Serving women to succeed through one-on-one brand & business building remains my top priority.
A new book on the horizon, The Transformative Power of Listening, coming fall 2025; along with (a longtime dream) the first creator’s cottage for women entrepreneurs in the woods of Alabama, the best is yet to come.
